Marachiei

A certified organic farm in Osco, Valle Leventina. The second project for the same family — built to match the first.

The transformation

Before

Built on Weebly and available only in Italian — the same problems as Leventina Western before its redesign, the same family, the same starting point. The site was the one thing about Marachiei that did not feel aligned.

After

Built in visual coherence with the Leventina Western redesign — same family, same design system. The architecture was built to support what Marachiei is becoming, not just to describe what it was.

The brief

The brief had two goals that were not negotiable.

First: build a showcase site that matched the standard of the Leventina Western redesign. The two projects are owned by the same family and should feel coherent — same design system, complementary palettes, a shared typographic language. The design relationship between the two sites was a deliberate decision, not a coincidence.

Second: build a structure that could support future growth. Marachiei is expanding — new products, new sections, new services. The architecture needed to anticipate what the farm would become, not just document what it was.

The solution

A full website redesign built in deliberate visual coherence with Leventina Western — the second project for the same family, and the one that completed the system.

The brand colour palette was developed in direct relationship with the Leventina Western palette: complementary, not identical. Same typographic system, same structural logic, a distinct character. Viewed side by side, the two sites read as a family. Viewed separately, each holds on its own.

The website was built in Next.js, deployed on Vercel, designed mobile-first. Italian, English, and German were written as original texts — not translations. Each version was crafted for its own audience, with its own register and its own cadence.

The site architecture was designed for what Marachiei is becoming, not only for what it is. Dedicated sections for the farm animals, the alpine summer pasture, the artisan products, the agriturismo, and the yurta are each structured to grow independently — new content, new sub-pages, new services can be added without touching the underlying architecture.

The yurta reservation flow integrates directly into the Leventina Western booking system. Guests enquire through Marachiei. The reservation is managed through the same dashboard Eva already uses. One family, two properties, one system — no duplication, no separate platform to learn.
